INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, November 20, 2018, Dr. Seung-Kook Kim has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. With many years of industry experience, Dr. Seung-Kook Kim has worked as a neurosurgeon, spine surgeon, and researcher for Himchan Hospital, Kangwon National University and Yonsei University. In these positions, he has garnered expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery, endoscopic spine surgery (uni-portal, bi-portal and trans-sacral), microscopic spine surgery, and artificial disc replacement surgeries. Furthermore, he actively researches non-operative spine procedures with a focus on percutaneous epidurographic neuroplasty in his present post. Dr. Kim has also completed service with the Republic of Korea Army, attaining the rank of Captain.
Dr. Seung-Kook Kim pursued his education at the College of Medicine at Yonsei University, Kangwon National University and Inje University, obtaining a Bachelor Degree, Master`s Degree and PhD in medicine.
In addition to his primary trade, Dr. Seung-Kook Kim remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his field. He has maintained involvement with North American Spine Society, EUROSPINE, AOSpine plus, the Korean Neurosurgical Society, the Korean Neurosurgical Spine Society, the Korean Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, and the World Congress on Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and Techniques Association. Likewise, Dr. Kim has contributed to the World Spinal Column Society and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
In light of his exceptional undertakings, Dr. Seung-Kook Kim has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his impressive career. In 2008, he was recognized with a future scientist award, and in 2005, the Best Resident by Sanggye Paik Hospital at Inje University. Dr. Kim was honored as Best Military Doctor by the Republic of Korea Army in 2014.
Recently, he published many scientific articles (SCI) about minimally invasive spine surgery. Trans-sacral, trans-foraminal (uni-portal), posterior interlaminar (bi-portal) endoscopy, intra-discal therapy (cervical annuloplasty) and minimally invasive fusion (transforaminal and oblique lumbar) are his main interests. He also studies pharmacodynamics and pharmacokynatics these days.
