SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, April 17, 2019, Marquis Who’s Who, the world’s premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Samjin Lee with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Lee celebrates many years’ experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Since 1991, Mr. Samjin Lee has excelled as the founder and the chief executive officer of HANKIRIN Company, Ltd. in Seoul, South Korea. Previously, he worked for various other companies learning his field from the ground up before going into business for himself. Initially founded as a repair company for used electronic scales, Mr. Lee’s company has since expanded their products, but only those that he is sure that he and his staff are able to do well as he takes great pride in creating quality products.
Raised in poverty by his maternal grandmother with no parents or siblings, Mr. Samjin Lee defied the odds, rising above a middle-school education and vocational beginnings on an assembly line at a factory that produced electronic scales. Despite a hard work ethic and inherent skill in his field which led to a post overseeing repairs for another company, his background prevented him from being taken seriously by his colleagues, which further motivated his determination to succeed. Completing a high school graduation exam, Mr. Lee later learned to speak Japanese and served as a bilingual engineer with a machine-making company, where he adopted many new skills, including “copy culture,” a process where products from other cultures are modified for better consumption in Japan.
Taking his years of knowledge and expertise with him, Mr. Lee eventually left this company to form HANKIRIN. Once in business for himself, he began producing rail-scales used in slaughterhouses in Korea and sold them for a sixth of the price in Japan, as they were much smaller than the Japanese model and could be installed in a day. The company has also developed management programs related to retail, distribution and meat, importing packaging machines in Italy and Japan. His meat production management electronic scale, which computerizes the history of meat produced and sold in Korea, which is the largest traditional meat market in Asia, has been a great success and can be found in every store across the country. Outside of his full-time career, Mr. Lee further serves as the chairman for the Gangbuk Cooperative Federation.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who’s Who community, Samjin Lee has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
