In these roles, he studies semiconductor optical devices, optical fiber communications and silicon photonics. He founded Oprocessor as a means of commercializing photonic technology to implement optical communication technology in CMOS IC computer chips.
Dr. Sahnggi Park began his career as a student at Kyungpook National University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in physics. He then traveled to the United States to study at the University of Arizona, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in semiconductor optics in 1999. Dr. Park is a member of the American Physical Society, the Optical Society of America and the Korean Physical Society.
A respected voice in the industry, Dr. Park is renowned for his work in advancing optics technology. He was responsible for inventing a critical technology to implement optical communication technology in CMOS IC computer chips, and his research work on optic of semiconductor microcavities is highly regarded. Dr. Park has also written on the scientific discovery of the physics theory used to calculate the 24-hour earth rotation period.
