Earlier in his career, he gained valuable expertise in the field as an investor with Korea Ventures, where he worked in venture investments in IT and Bio convergence, incubation and IPO consulting, and as the chief of the business planning team at Samsung Electronics, where he remained between 1994 and 1999. Mr. Lee began his career as a technology planning team member with Samsung Electronics, where he specialized in technology and mid- and long-term business planning for telecommunications, computers and home appliances.
Prior to embarking upon his professional path, Mr. Tae-Kyu Lee earned a Bachelor of Science in electronic engineering from Korea University. He subsequently graduated with a master’s degree in pharmaceutics from Sungkyunkwan University. Mr. Lee retains his professional alignment with the Korea Core Industrial Technology Investment Association, the Korea Venture Capital Association, the Ministry of Trade Industry, Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea University Medical Instrument Clinical Support Center.
With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Mr. Lee has founded and invested in a number of leading technology-based companies. For his outstanding work in the field, he was designated as a fund manager of the Patent Technology Commercialization Fund. Additionally, he served as the chief executive officer and a fund manager for New Growth Engagement Fund at the National Pension Service and the KoFC New Growth Engagement Fund through Korea Development Bank.
