Marquis Who’s Who Honors Hung Sa Lee, PhD, with Inclusion in Who’s Who in the World

With nearly 40 years of professional experience to her credit, Dr. Hung Sa Lee has excelled as an associate professor with the Sun Moon University Department of Nursing since 2014. Prior to her current role, she found success as an associate professor with the Daegu Haany University Department of Nursing Science from 2007 to 2013, and an assistant professor with the Kyung-In Women’s College Department of Nursing from 1996 to 2000. Dr. Lee began his career as a staff nurse and a nurse manager with the pediatric unit and cardiology unit at Seoul University National University Hospital from 1980 to 1996.

Dr. Hung Sa Lee initially pursued an education with Seoul National University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1980. She continued her studies with the aforementioned school, earning a Master of Public Health in 1989. She concluded her academic efforts at Seoul National University in 2002, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in community health nursing. Dr. Lee is certified as a home care nurse specialist by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

A respected voice in her areas of interest, Dr. Lee has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. She has served as the chief of the departments of nursing science at Sehan University, Daegu Haany University, and Sun Moon University, and she worked as a nurse manager of the cardiology unit at Seoul National University Hospital. Dr. Lee was additionally active as the academic director of the Korean Home Care Nursing Society, the vice president of the Korean Society of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, and a committee member of the Social Service Investment Support Team of Daegu Community and the Social Service Quality Evaluation.

A former visiting professor of the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, Dr. Lee participated on the editorial board of the Journal of the Korean Academy of Rural Health Nursing and an editor of the Journal of Korean Academy of Community Health Nursing. She has been recognized as a fellow of the Korean Nurses Association, the Korean Society of Nursing Science, the Korean Nurses Political Society, and the Korean Academic Society of Occupational Health. She contributed to the appraisal committee for senior friendly product for the Korean Health Industry Institute and on the expert panel of the Korean Workers Compensation and Welfare Service Labor Welfare Research Institute. For her contributions to the field, Dr. Lee was presented with the Power Bland Celebrity Award by Sports Chosun and the Outstanding Research Achievement Award by the Korean Society for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.
