Currently supervising the Arirang TV media business department for integrated marketing communication, he worked as a professor-in-chief of Exhibition and Convention Management Master’s Degree Course at Kwangwoon University prior to these appointments. Moreover, Dr. Jin has found success as a lecturer at numerous universities, including Yonsei University, Kyunghee University, Soongshil University, and Seoul Digital University, etc.
Dr. Hong-Seok Jin previously served as a sports marketing specialist and a marketing director for the Busan Asian Games in 2002. Additionally, he helped develop the Korea Travel Card for the Korea Tourism Organization. Earlier in his career, Dr. Jin was active as an exhibition organizer beginning in 1994, aiding in the organization of the Koguryo Special Exhibition, which he later toured internationally, including at the British Museum.
A leading voice in his areas of expertise, Dr. Jin has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is the Senior Vice President of Skål International Seoul Club, the Senior Vice President of Inter-Korea Peace Tourism Association, the Vice President of LSE Alumni Association, and the Honorary Chair of the Korean-Chinese Interpretation Guide Association. He is also an advisory member of the Seoul Metropolitan City Tourism Development Council, the National Committee for Convention Industry Promotion, and the Council for Inter-Korea Peace Tourism. A public relations ambassador for Yeosu City, Dr. Jin has maintained his involvement as a board member of the AFECA (Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations).
Throughout his career, Dr. Jin has been celebrated for his contributions. He has received awards and accolades for his accomplishments. The Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism presented him with an award, and several MPs have honored Dr. Jin with commendations.
