Mr. Ku Yong Kim has been serving as the chief executive officer of MDM Co., Ltd., in Daegu, Republic of Korea, since 2011. He formerly worked for Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co., Ltd., for 16 years beginning in 1995. Headquartered in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea, Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co., Ltd., is the multinational electronic component company and flagship subsidiary of the Samsung Group and a South Korean electronics subsidiary of the Samsung Group that manufactures electronics components.
During his career, Mr. Ku Yong Kim has been responsible for the design optimization of a high density OBC, an inverterm LDC for the electrical vehicle, a high density and current driving plate PCB and a thermal simulation for power systems, among other innovative projects in his field.
Mr. Kim received an Achievement Award from the Korea Power and Electronics Association in 2016. He also won a Challenge Award from Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co., Ltd., in 2010. Born in the Republic of Korea, Mr. Kim notably served as a sergeant in the Korean Army. He holds a bachelor’s degree. In his down time, Mr. Kim enjoys participating in military survival sports.
