With nearly a decade of practiced industry experience under his belt, Dr. Hyung Joon Kim currently serves as an associate professor in the department of oral physiology at the College of Dentistry in Pusan National University. Previously, he worked for Pusan National University as an assistant professor. At the beginning of his career, Dr. Kim accrued valuable expertise through Kyung Hee University’s Research Center for Tooth and Periodontal Tissue Regeneration and Seoul National University’s Bone Metabolism Research Center.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hyung Joon Kim has focused his research on bone biology, specifically osteoclast and osteoclast biology, the molecular mechanisms of bone metastasis, and cell therapeutic application of dental cells for bone regeneration. An expert in his field, he began his academic efforts with a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology from Pusan National University. Dr. Kim later concluded his studies with a Doctor of Philosophy in dentistry from Seoul National University.
Although his career is on the rise, Dr. Kim has already co-authored a number of creative works, including research featured in the Journal of Cell Biology. His scientific papers have also been published in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research in 2012. Looking toward the future, Dr. Kim intends to experience the continued growth and success of his research.
