SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, October 25, 2022, Dr. Dongsub Jeon has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. Backed by years of practiced experience, Dr. Jeon presently works as a physician and assistant clinical professor in the Department of Gastroenterology at Asan Medical Center. In his dual roles, he specializes in working with patients with liver diseases and conducts clinical research. During the early stages of his career, Dr. Jeon gained valuable expertise in the field of education as an assistant clinical professor at the University of Ulsan’s College of Medicine. In order to stay abreast of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the Korean Association of Internal Medicine, the Korean Association for the Study of the Liver, the Korean Liver Cancer Association, the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Korean Society of Ultrasound in Medicine.
An expert in his field, Dr. Jeon earned an MD from Dong-A University. Over the years, he has contributed to various publications, including “The Impact of Pylorus Preservation on the Development of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease after Pancreaticoduodenectomy: A Historical Cohort Study” and “Dynamics of Serum Retinol and Alpha-Tocopherol Levels According to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Status.” Similarly, he was the first author of “Effect of Spironolactone on COVID-19 in Patients with Underlying Liver Cirrhosis: A Nationwide Case-Control Study in South Korea.”
In recognition of his professional achievements, Dr. Jeon was presented with the Best Presentation Award in 2015 and a Best Paper Award in 2021 from The Korean Association of Internal Medicine (KAIM). Likewise, he won the Young Investigator of the Year Award through the European Association for the Study of the Liver and an Academic Research Award from the Korean Association of Internal Medicine in 2022. Though his career has been filled with standout moments, he takes the most pride in establishing his reputation as a clinician with expertise in chronic liver disease. Within the next five years, Dr. Jeon aims to become a renowned internal medicine specialist.
