INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, May 18, 2022, Byung Moon Ahn, Ph.D., is a distinguished biographee of Marquis Who’s Who. A widely regarded orthopedist, Dr. Ahn serves as the president of Sungmin General Hospital. In this position, he draws upon more than four decades of experience in the health care industry, as well as certifications in orthopedic surgery, business administration and executive management. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Ahn has contributed numerous articles to professional journals pertaining to his areas of expertise. He was most recently credited as a co-author of “Anti-Aging Medicine,” which was published in 2006. Dr. Ahn currently serves as a chairman with the Korean Hospital Association.
In recognition of his contributions to the medical profession, Dr. Ahn has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including Who’s Who in Asia, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who’s Who in the World. He was recently named one of 2,000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century and Top 100 Health Professionals by the International Biographical Centre in 2011. In addition, Dr. Ahn was selected to receive a Doctor of Letters from the Centre in 2013. He was most recently honored as a Man of Pride of Seoul by the Alumni Association of Seoul Senior High School in 2016.
Early in his career, Dr. Ahn completed an MD through the College of Medicine at Seoul National University in 1976. While serving as the vice president of the medical college’s alumni association, he completed a Ph.D. in biochemistry, which he received from Chung-Ang University in 1982. Since then, Dr. Ahn has been recognized as a visiting professor with a variety of institutions, including Hallym University, Seoul National University and Inha University. He previously served as a major in the Republic of Korea Army.
