With over 35 years of excellence in her field, Dr. Bo-Yeoul Kim currently serves as a professor of the College of Nursing at Eulji University in the Republic of Korea, a position she has held since 2015. Prior to this appointment, she worked as head nurse at the Seoul National University Hospital, while serving as an adjunct professor at the Department of Nursing at the Seoul National University. Dr. Kim has also contributed to provide her expertise in breastfeeding for the Korean committee of UNICEF since 2007.
Prior to embarking on her career, Dr. Bo-Yeoul Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Seoul National University in 1980. Following this accomplishment, she continued her studies with Seoul National University, obtaining a Master of Science in nursing in 1998. She concluded her education with a Doctor of Philosophy from Seoul National University. Dr. Kim has been certified as a registered nurse since 1980.
A regular contributor of articles to professional journals, Dr. Kim has had her work featured in prominent journals including the Journal of Clinical Nursing and International Breastfeeding Journal. Furthermore, she has been a reviewer for the Korean Academy of Nursing Administration and Nutrition Research and Practice since 2015 and previously held the role of financial director for the Korean Oncology Nursing Society in 2003. For excellence in her career, Dr. Kim received a Presidential Citation from the Republic of Korea and the Clinical Nursing Research Papers Excellence Award from the Seoul Nursing Society in 2008, as well as the Clinical Nursing Research Paper Excellence Prize from the Hospital Nursing Society in 1996.
