DAEGU, SOUTH KOREA, December 17, 2018, Dong-Seok Lee, MD, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. An expert in his field, Dr. Dong-Seok Lee graduated from the College of Medicine at Seoul National University in 1989. Subsequently, he completed an internship and a residency in general surgery through Seoul National University Hospital between 1989 and 1994. Upon the completion of his residency, he became board certified through the Korean Board of General Surgery. In 1997, he also completed a research fellowship through the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of Southern California. Dr. Lee established the Bunhongbitzro Hospital which is the first comprehensive breast and thyroid center in Korea in 2008. He devoted himself to early diagnosis and treatment of breast and thyroid cancer and cared for his patients with a warm heart.
In an effort to enhance the academic competency and to protect the rights and interests of his medical field, he plays a leading role in several professional organizations. He serves as the President of the Korean Association of Breast and Thyroid Surgeons (KABTS), the vice president of the Korean Breast Cancer Society, a director of the Korean Association of Thyroid and Endocrine Surgeons, and a director of the Korean Association of Breast Surgery (KABS).
With nearly 30 years of practiced industry experience under his belt, Dr. Dong-Seok Lee has gained valuable expertise in his field, as well as expanded his knowledge of breast health. For his outstanding accomplishments, he has been honored on many occasions, earning the Roche Award from the Korean Breast Cancer Society, the KABTS Achievement Award, and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
