Mr. Gyeong-Woon Kang began his legal career in 1996 as a judge in the Suncheon branch of Gwangju District Court and joined Jipyong LLC in 2011 as a partner. Mr. Kang has represented clients in civil, criminal, administrative, and family law litigation. In his practice, Mr. Kang has advised corporations, financial institutions, local municipalities, and local councils.
Mr. Gyeong-Woon Kang is special counsel for the Governor of Jeonllanam Province, POSCO, the Nokdong Agricultural Cooperative Association, Gurye County, and Seoul Woori Hospital. He is Director of Korea Institute for the Future and is also on the Administrative Action Committee of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. Mr. Kang previously served as special counsel for the Suncheon City Council in Boseong County, POSCO Kwangyang Works, the Suncheon branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and the Land Compartmentalization and Rearrangement Association in the Gagok district of Suncheon City.
Mr. Gyeong-Woon Kang received his Bachelor of Laws from Seoul National University in 1990 and graduated from its Graduate School of Law in 1994. He was trained at the Judicial Research and Training Institute with the Supreme Court of Korea in 1996 and was a member of the Gwangju District Bar Association from 1998 to 2011. Mr. Kang is a member of the Korean Bar Association.
